Terms of Service

Welcome to the Billionaire Boss partnership program for the Durham City Community Conversations initiative (the "Program"). By participating in the Program, you agree to the following Terms of Service ("TOS"). Please read these terms carefully before engaging in any activities related to the Program.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By participating in the Initiative, you agree to abide by these TOS and any additional guidelines provided by Billionaire Boss. The Organization reserves the right to update or modify these TOS at any time. Your continued participation constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Eligibility
To participate in the Initiative, you must:
- Be a resident or organization based in Durham, North Carolina.
- Have an interest in contributing to community engagement and discussions on the FY 2025-26 budget.
- Commit to the principles of equity, inclusion, and respectful dialogue.
3. Participant Responsibilities
As a Participant, you agree to:
- Actively engage in the community conversations, providing honest and constructive feedback.
- Respect the diverse perspectives of other participants and contribute to an inclusive environment.Follow any guidelines or instructions provided by the Organization or its representatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of any sensitive or non-public information shared during the Initiative.
4. Stipends and Compensation
Participants may be eligible to receive stipends or other forms of compensation as outlined by the Initiative’s guidelines. These will be provided in recognition of your time and contributions. Specific details regarding eligibility and payment will be communicated directly to eligible participants.
5. Confidentiality
During the course of the Initiative, you may receive or have access to confidential information. By participating, you agree to:
- Keep any confidential information disclosed to you by the Organization or other participants private.
- Use such information solely for the purposes of participating in the Initiative.
- Not disclose any confidential information to third parties without prior written consent from Billionaire Boss.
6. Intellectual Property
All materials, strategies, and reports developed during your participation in the Program are the intellectual property of Billionaire Boss and the City of Durham. Partners are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these materials solely for fulfilling their responsibilities within the Program.
7. Termination
Billionaire Boss reserves the right to terminate your participation in the Initiative at any time, with or without cause. Termination may result from:
- Failure to fulfill the responsibilities outlined in these TOS.
- Violation of any applicable laws, ethical guidelines, or Initiative rules.
- Any action deemed detrimental to the goals or reputation of the Initiative.
Upon termination, you must return all confidential materials to Billionaire Boss and cease using any resources provided through the Initiative.
8. Limitation of Liability
Billionaire Boss and the City of Durham shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Initiative. Your sole remedy for any dissatisfaction with the Initiative is to cease participation.
9. Changes to Terms
Billionaire Boss LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms. Your continued participation in the program after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the program will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Durham County, North Carolina.
